We’ve officially launched our new and improved knowledge hub! We’ve designed a new platform to help you find the information you’re looking for even faster.

When you use the "Need support? Please refer to our Knowledge Hub" link at the bottom of your screen, you’ll discover a more intuitive site with these key upgrades:

  • Refreshed Content: All articles have been reviewed and updated to ensure they are consistent, accurate, and simple to follow.

Meal and Rest break premium adjustment types (US)

We’ve introduced new adjustment types: Meal Break Premium and Rest Break Premium, designed to further support compliance with California break laws. These can now be used to accurately track and apply required premium payments for missed or non-compliant breaks.

JoinedUp Is Moving to Beeline

We’re excited to announce that on Monday, 22nd September, 3:00 PM (GMT), 10:00 AM (EST), we’re integrating JoinedUp directly into the Beeline domain, providing you with a more streamlined and cohesive experience. What this means for you:

  • New Login Location: The www.joinedup.com link will be removed. If a user visits joinedup.com, they’ll be automatically redirected to the new Beeline login page, where they can select the JoinedUp link to access the login for their respective country/region. If users already have bookmarks saved, they don’t need to update them – those links will continue to work and redirect automatically.

  • Centralized Support: All support requests, including those for JoinedUp, will now be routed through Jira from the Beeline site. This creates a single, easy-to-find place for all your support needs.

  • No Change to Your Login: Your actual login process and credentials for both JoinedUp and Jira will remain exactly the same.

The main difference you’ll notice is the new login page. The current JoinedUp site already has a Login button at the top, and we’re adding one to the Beeline homepage as well to make it simple for you to sign in. This change helps us centralise our services and provide you with a single, easy-to-access hub for all your needs.

Improved Shift Template list view

The Shift Templates list now loads content as you scroll, replacing the previous full-load approach. This improves performance and makes it easier to navigate large sets of templates.

A new Shift Template ID search field has also been added, allowing access to any template regardless of its position in the list.

Worker Availability Enhancement

We’ve added "PTO" (Paid Time Off) as a new option for worker availability. This makes it easier to categorize and manage time off accurately when scheduling and reporting.

Shift notes

We’ve added a new Shift notes feature, allowing Suppliers and End-hirers to optionally add free-text notes when creating a shift. These notes are not shared with workers.

Use this functionality to capture key context, instructions, or reminders to support more effective shift management.

Legal breaks enhancement (US)

To support compliance with California break laws, workers entering time via the T&A app (QR codes) are now prevented from clocking out of breaks too early when the setting “Use California 30-minute break rule for shifts over 5 hours” is enabled on the shift template.

This ensures adherence to state labor laws and helps maintain accurate time tracking.

July

Archived template visibility

The Site lock report will now include shifts worked on archived shift templates with the suffix [ARCHIVED], ensuring data integrity while clearly identifying the shifts associated with archived templates.

Student working time restrictions (UK)

You can now prevent student workers from being scheduled over 10 or 20 hours per week, based on their visa status.

Check the 'Enable Working Time Regulations warnings when allocating shifts' field on the shift template, then set the required limit on the worker profile and get real-time alerts when scheduling to stay compliant with UK labour laws.

Worker creation label correction

We’ve removed the "required" label from the Branch field when creating a new worker profile. This field is now correctly shown as optional, providing a clearer and more accurate user experience.

End-hirer site locks

End-hirers can now access the Site locks screen to view, download and lock sites, providing greater control over financial data.

This feature includes the ability to Lock all ‘Ready to lock’ sites at once, making it quicker and more convenient to lock multiple sites with fewer clicks.

Contact your Customer Operations Specialist to choose whether the end-hirer or supplier manages the locking action.

Worker ineligibility / DNR (Do not rehire)

As a Client user, it’s now easier to manage your workforce with the new Do Not Rehire (DNR) feature. From the Incident Reporting screen, you can flag workers who shouldn’t be rebooked due to serious issues like repeated no-shows or misconduct. Once marked, the worker is automatically removed from upcoming shifts and blocked from future bookings with your organization — no extra steps needed. It’s a faster, more effective way to maintain workforce standards and protect your business.

For more information, you can access our user guide here: Do Not Rehire

June

Currency consistency restriction

To ensure accurate billing, we’ve introduced a site lock restriction that prevents multiple currencies from being used on the same site. This enhancement helps maintain consistency and accuracy in financial reporting.

May

Self-billing name change

We’ve renamed the "Invoicing" page to "Self-billing" to better reflect its purpose - generating data for workers with VAT-registered limited companies. This is a name change only; all functionality remains the same.

Announcements

Clients can now post announcements to agency users and users in their own organisation. Announcements can be viewed from the application header, under the new notification bell icon.

For more information, please reference the Announcements user guide.

Shift template naming convention

It’s now possible to save a Shift template using a name that already exists at that site - as long as the original template is Deleted first. This change does not affect Disabled templates.

Increase your flexibility when managing templates, while still preventing unintentional overwrites or confusion with historic data.

April

Overtime Multipliers

You can now quickly calculate overtime rates directly on the shift template using overtime multipliers.

Check the “Enable overtime multipliers column” option under Rate Settings on the Advanced Settings page, then set a multiplier on base rates (like 1.5x or 2x) and let the platform handle the rest. Save time and reduce errors by automating your overtime calculations across roles, sites or contracts.

Post-shifts message enhancement

We’ve updated an in-app message to provide clearer instructions for linking new sites to branches.

To provide clearer guidance, the message "This site has not yet been assigned to a region. Please contact your central planning team to do so" now reads: "Please link this site to a branch. Navigate to Shift Allocation (Branch) to create branches."

Grant user permissions enhancement

As an End-hirer user, it’s now easier to add new agency site permissions using the re-located Grant new permissions button in the top-right of the Agency managed sites page. No more scrolling to the bottom - this streamlined placement makes the process quicker and more intuitive.

Alphabetized ‘Add users’ list

The Add users list under the Settings page for Administrators is now alphabetized, making it easier and faster to find existing users.

March

Automated Worker Acceptances

Use the new “Enable automatic acceptance of proposed valid workers” setting under Advanced Settings on Order templates to automatically accept compliant worker proposals for open shifts.

Choose specific suppliers to enable this setting for, streamlining your scheduling processes without reducing targeted compliance needs.

Shift template status: Deleted

Supplier and End-hirer users can now see a red Deleted status on Shift templates for improved visibility and tracking.

January

Mobile: Break duration visibility

Workers can now view the Break duration field on the Shift details page from their mobile device when logged in to JoinedUp by Beeline.
